University Termite and Pest Control first opened its doors in Tucson in December 1974, founded by Rick Rupkey Sr. With a vision rooted in integrity, service, and local care, Rick laid the foundation for what has become one of Arizona’s most trusted names in pest control.

In 2014, University Termite and Pest Control celebrated 50 years of service to the state of Arizona.
We are committed to all that we say and do to provide environmentally responsible, affordable, and professional pest management services to families and businesses throughout our great state.
In 2019, Rick Rupkey Sr passed away, but the business remains “family owned &operated.” Ryan Horn, along with his wife, Krista Horn (Rupkey) purchased the business in 2020. Krista worked on and off in the business from the time she was in high school to the present. Ryan has been in the pest management industry since 1996 and continues to carry on the Core Values and Principles that University Termite & Pest Control began in 1974.
